Griff's is a solid, neighborhood, casual sports bar. With
42 TVs, and 90's pop and rock competing for attention, there's something for every burger-going, pizza-loving, fried mac 'n cheese devouring sports fan.
Oh. The burgers will make you wanna slap your date; they're that good. The rest of the menu isn't too shabby, but the burgers get my full salute. The hurricane drink will make you dance the hucklebuck and pass out singing Britney Spears songs. Drink slowly.
The pizza sauce is a bit too sweet, and the Alfredo sauce on the pasta is slightly runny and under seasoned, but I'm not going to lie - I still cleaned both plates, on separate visits, of course. My gluttony has limits.
Darius' customer service was outstanding and was delivered with a smile.
Griff's has no apologies for what it is - a sports bar with great burgers and friendly service; not much more. If you don't expect more than that, you'll enjoy the experience! That hurricane, though.... dayyyuuumn. "Hit me baby one more time!" -

We are from Kansas City and was looking for a Sports Bar to watch our KC Chiefs and Griff's didn't disappoint although our team lets us down. We didn't know that this was NBA star Darrell Griffith's sports bar & grill featuring his favorite dishes from years of travel in the NBA. Griffs's (place) is Louisville legend Darrell Griffith restaurant in the heart of the city he still calls home.
If you want a bar with lots of TVs this is the place. We got to pick our table and have the TV in front of us turned to our game. However, we wished we had sat in the bar to view other games and join other Chiefs fans watching the game.
We tried the local Hot Brown. Not our favorite, but the turkey was very good in it as well as the chicken wings and sweet potato fries. The bar tender was knowledgeable and assisted in helping me find a beer I would like. I'm not an avid, beer drinker, but want one from time to time. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant.
Not wowed, but not disappointed in Griffs. -

Great new place downtown to watch sports (42 TV's),
Plenty of seating at bar area and tables. The staff and management has been great. Friendly greetings, and prompt service.
They will also put a sports event on a TV when asked.
( so out of town guests can watch their favorite team).
The food has been good also. Plenty of beer selections.
I'll definitely return
New update- 9/14/19
So, after being abused by UL fans when auburn beat uk in March NCAA I chose NOT to come here. We were harassed, heckled and so on. One person videotaped us after the loss so according to them, they could send out a video of UK fans team losing?? Really sad, because this is a clean place with nice scenery and plenty of TV's.
However, if your a UK fan and want to just simply relax and watch a UK game.. DONT COME HERE TO WATCH. -

Found this fantastic sports bar next to a conference that I'm currently attending. It's a fantastic place to watch sports because it's got 30+ TVs.
I am a beer guy so went with that. It has a good selection on local beer on tap and a much bigger bourbon selection. I chose a local beer called "against the grain pile of face" from Louisville.
I got bourbon sriracha wings small order. Let me tell you it's got the right amount of spicy to be enjoyable and not too hot. The wings are moist but crunchy on the outside just the way I like them and had some fancy strips of celery on top. I really enjoyed them!
The service was fantastic. I was by myself so I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and very attentive to anything I needed. -

Solid food! I got delivery so I can't comment on the restaurant and bar aspect of it, but I was really impressed. I got a simple grilled chicken sandwich but it was massive and grilled perfectly. I got the sweet Thai sauce and it was perfectly sweet and spicy. I'll definitely have to come in person to experience it all.
